【Active Ingredients】 Florfenicol

【Description】This product is a colorless to yellowish clear liquid.

【Pharmacological Effects】

Pharmacodynamics: Flufenicol is a broad spectrum antibiotic in the aminoalcohol class, a bacteriosuppressor that acts by binding to the 50S subunit of the ribosome to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins.

Pharmacokinetics: The injection of flufenicol is rapidly absorbed, widely distributed in animals, and can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. It is mainly excreted in the urine in its original form, and a small amount is excreted in the stool.

【Drug Interactions】

• Macrolides and Lincosamines have the same target of action as this product, and both bind to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, which can produce mutual antagonism when used together.
• It may antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillins or aminoglycosides, but it has not been proved in animals.

【Indications】 Amidol antibiotics. For Pasteurella and Escherichia coli infections.

【Dosage and Administration】 Intramuscular injection: 0.1ml/kg bodyweight for chicken and 0.15-0.2ml/kg for pig, once every 48 hours, and twice in a row. Fish 0.005-0.01ml, once a day.

【Adverse Reactions】 This product has certain immunosuppressive effect when used at a dosage higher than the recommended dosage.

【Precautions】

• Chickens that lay eggs for human consumption shall not be used during the laying period.
• Breeding chickens should be used with caution.It is toxic to embryos and should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation.
• Animals with severe immune deficiency or vaccination period are prohibited.
• Animals with renal insufficiency need to reduce the dosage or extend the interval of administration.
