Description

Active Ingredients】Tilmicosin

Description】This product is light yellow to reddish brown clear liquid.

Pharmacological Effects】Pharmacodynamics - Tilmicosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic for animals. It is strong against mycoplasma, and its antibacterial effect is similar to that of tylosin. The sensitive gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), Pneumococcus, Streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, erysipelas suis, Listeria, Clostridium putrescens, Clostridium pneumophila and so on. Sensitive gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus, meningococcus, Pasteurella, etc. It has stronger activity against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida and mycoplasma of livestock and poultry than tylosin. 95% of Pasteurella haemolytica strains are sensitive to this product.

Pharmacokinetics - It is absorbed quickly after subcutaneous injection, characterized by strong tissue penetration and large distribution volume (more than 2L/kg). The concentration in lung and milk is high, the half-life can reach 1~2 days, and the effective blood concentration can be maintained for a long time. After subcutaneous injection of 10mg/1kg body weight to cattle, the peak concentration of drug in blood can be reached within 1 hour, and the concentration in milk (more than 0.8μg/ml) can be maintained for 8~9 days. After one injection, the concentration of MICS in lung tissue was still higher than that of Pasteurella haemolytica (3.12 μ g/ml) within 3 days. On the third day after injection, the ratio of lung/serum tilmicosin concentration was about 60:1. After subcutaneous injection, theconcentration in milk was nearly 50 times higher than that in blood, and the elimination half-life was 33.8 hours.

Drug Interactions
